Find your place in the region with GEOPORTAL

You will now find on GEOPORTAL updated maps of nature conservation forms and their boundaries, as well as the prohibitions associated with them.

Those wishing to move out of the city and build a house near a forest or in an area with the most natural landscape can now check whether building in protected areas is possible at all and, if so, which prohibitions apply.

The Department of the Environment and the Department of Digitalization of the Marshal’s Office of the Kuyavian and Pomeranian Voivodeship have joined forces and made updated data on the protected areas of our voivodeship available to the region’s residents and local authorities. The Department of the Environment developed a geographic information system (GIS) database for all the landscape parks and protected landscape areas located within the boundaries of the Kuyavian and Pomeranian Voivodeship, while the Department of Digitization uploaded the data on its GEOPORTAL.

All you need to do is find an interesting plot of land and the Kuyavian and Pomeranian Geoportal will provide up-to-date data on the boundaries of protected areas and the prohibitions and derogations that apply within them, e.g. the prohibition in the Nature Conservation Act on building new structures within 100 metres of a river bank line can be liberalized by allowing, in certain cases, shorter distances from natural water reservoirs.

Our geoportal film adventure with traveller Michal has come to an end, but your story with GEOPORTAL can only just begin!:)
