You will now find on GEOPORTAL updated maps of nature conservation forms and their boundaries, as well as the prohibitions associated with them.

Those wishing to move out of the city and build a house near a forest or in an area with the most natural landscape can now check whether building in protected areas is possible at all and, if so, which prohibitions apply.

The Department of the Environment and the Department of Digitalization of the Marshal’s Office of the Kuyavian and Pomeranian Voivodeship have joined forces and made updated data on the protected areas of our voivodeship available to the region’s residents and local authorities. The Department of the Environment developed a geographic information system (GIS) database for all the landscape parks and protected landscape areas located within the boundaries of the Kuyavian and Pomeranian Voivodeship, while the Department of Digitization uploaded the data on its GEOPORTAL.

All you need to do is find an interesting plot of land and the Kuyavian and Pomeranian Geoportal will provide up-to-date data on the boundaries of protected areas and the prohibitions and derogations that apply within them, e.g. the prohibition in the Nature Conservation Act on building new structures within 100 metres of a river bank line can be liberalized by allowing, in certain cases, shorter distances from natural water reservoirs.

Climatic conditions in Poland are changing dynamically, weather anomalies do not make farmers’ work easy. Therefore, especially today, farmers need reliable and precise weather information in order to carry out their work effectively.

They gain access to it thanks to modern meteorological stations purchased and modernized within the framework of “Infostrada of Kuyavia and Pomerania 2.0” by the project partner – the Kuyavian and Pomeranian Agricultural Advisory Centre in Minikowo.

Thanks to the project, the Kuyavian Pomeranian Agricultural Advisory Centre in Minikowo purchased or modernized 38 stations. Precision stations are equipped with sensors for temperature, air humidity, soil moisture and.

Thanks to the project, the Kuyavian Pomeranian Agricultural Advisory Centre in Minikowo purchased or modernized 38 stations.

Precision stations are equipped with sensors for temperature, air humidity, soil moisture and rain gauges. They also measure ground temperature, wind speed and even leaf wetness. They allow our farmers to check changes in the weather in real time, so they can increase their yields and take timely preventive action.

Data from the stations is also used, among other things, in decision-making support systems for the control of crop yield-lowering pests. Meteo station measurements enable detailed planning of agro-technical measures, especially irrigation.

Data from the stations is also an important element of crisis management in our region. The data collected by the meteorological stations is also used by crisis management, environmental protection and fire-fighting services.

Weather data from meteorological stations is available to everyone. Visit meteoportal.kpodr.pl. Measurements are taken and updated every 15 minutes.

More and more official matters will be handled without leaving home. The expansion of the voivodeship’s Spatial Information System has begun. A press conference on the subject was held on 18 February 2020.

The conference discussed the tasks that await the project implementers in connection with the signing of the new contract. The contract, signed on 17 December 2019, concerns the modernization and expansion of the Spatial Information System of the Kuyavian and Pomeranian Voivodeship as part of the ‘Infostrada of Kuyavia and Pomerania 2.0’ project. The Spatial Information System of the Kuyavian and Pomeranian Voivodeship was created by Comarch, which will now modernize it and expand it with new functionalities.

“In the current EU financial perspective, the ‘Infostrada of Kuyavia and Pomerania 2.0′ project is the most important IT project that the Kuyavian and Pomeranian Voivodeship is implementing. It is its products that are most often used by the inhabitants of our region,” – said Zbigniew Ostrowski, Deputy Marshal of the Kuyavian and Pomeranian Voivodeship.

As part of the signed contract, new functionalities will be created on the basis of information that is already stored in the geoportal.

The way the project is implemented is a kind of innovation.

“All the voivodeships in the country implement their Spatial Information Systems in a dispersed manner, where each county separately carries out tasks related to SIP. The Kuyavian and Pomeranian Voivodeship was the first in the country to decide to build a centralized solution at the voivodeship level, which makes the information uniform and consistent,” said Paweł Prokop, Vice-President of the Management Board of Comarch.

On 17 December 2019, the Marshall of the Kuyavian and Pomeranian Voivodeship signed an agreement as part of the project ‘Infostrada of Kuyavia and Pomerania 2.0’ for the modernization and expansion.

The Spatial Information System of the Kuyavian and Pomeranian Voivodeship was created by Comarch, which will now modernize it and expand it with new functionalities. The company has been creating modern IT systems for over 20 years and is one of the largest and most recognizable Polish brands in the IT industry.

Comarch will modernize and expand the Spatial Information System of the Kuyavian and Pomeranian Voivodeship as part of the ‘Infostrada of Kuyavia and Pomerania 2.0″ project by such functionalities as:

  • implementation of new e-services and creating new forms,
  • development of registers providing support for e-services and feeding them with data,
  • provision and development of field systems,
  • implementation of an application for conducting a spatial development plan for the voivodeship,
  • implementation of mobile applications.

The modernization and expansion of the Spatial Information System of the Kuyavian and Pomeranian Voivodeship will take 2 years. The contract amounts to PLN 14 494 812.00.
